Canoe/Tube package

Class 1 & 2 Rapids add adventure to your day. Canoe this trip the first day. This section of river is generally wide and is scattered with many small islands. This is a pleasurable float. Smallmout bass, red breast sunfish, and channel catfish will provide most of the fishing action. Keep in mind that for the most part the islands are private property, so please, respect the No Trespassing signs.

Inner Tube 2nd day - Hatton Ferry to Scottsville (4 miles)

Experience the tranquility of the James River on this relaxing day trip. Lots of riffles. Take a cooler with lunch and snacks to add pleasure as you pull off to the side of the river and launch on the Island or one of the many very large river boulders. Enjoy sighting our wildlife including Deer, Osprey, Grey Herons and Bald Eagles as you lazily float back to base camp.

THIS IS OUR MOST POPULAR OVERNIGHT PADDLING TRIP. The upper section of this (12) mile trip is a great float for the beginner/moderate paddler. (Class I-II) Camp at our Scottsville Campground, located on the banks of the James River where your car is parked for the duration or your stay. Inside showers are available. All within walking distance of many conveniences you would not normally have on a wilderness canoeing/camping trip.

The 2nd day of your trip is a more challenging paddle and demands some experience. This overnight package is a great trip for the paddlers whom wishes to put that little extra excitement in their adventures. This section of the James River is very scenic, with lots of Islands, tributaries and numerous Class I-II-III rapids. You will not find another outfitter on the James River that can offer such an exciting and more beautiful trip. It doesn't get any better than this!

Your first day of adventure is a calm and beautiful float. The river is very wide and keep on this section housing shelf rocks below where the smallies tend to hide. Camping is at the Hardware Wildlife Management Area offering many acres on the banks of the James River.

The Second day of your trip is more of a challenge and you should have some paddling experience.

This is a great overnight trip for the fisherman and the adventurous paddler. Braided with numerous Islands, tributaries and a wide variety of wildlife to see. Scottsville to Bremo (New Canton) offers the best Smallmouth Bass Fishing on the East Coast.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Total amount of rental fee is required with reservation. Refunds are available with a one week notice of cancellation. "NO SHOW" will forfeit their payment. Reservations and full payment can be made with cash, check, Travelers cheque, VISA OR Master Card, Discover

We reserve the right to cancel any trips if weather or water conditions are hazardous. We recommend that you call for information on the condition of the river before your trip. If we cancel, you receive a full refund or may reschedule without penalty.
